Rev Edition met with Appier for the first time in 2023 on its quest for a recommendation solution. Given how consumers have evolved in recent years, with an appetite for speed, convenience, and personalization, the Thai company knew it was time for a state-of-the-art recommendation solution. Until that point, Rev Edition was using a manual system for presenting their products, and thus, it was unable to optimize its customer experience and maximize sales.
To take its customer experience to the next level, Rev Edition partnered with Appier to leverage the latter’s AI personalization platform, AIQUA, for personalized product recommendations. Here are the results within a year of our partnership:
A Personalized Recommendation Strategy Aligned with Business KPIs
The key to personalized recommendation is a deep understanding of customers. What AIQUA provided Rev Edition was the ability to collect user data from its various different websites and online channels and power personalized recommendations with this information. Since Rev Edition has a main website and several subdomains, AIQUA was able to collect user data from all these sources and use an AI filter to place the right recommendations on each site while eliminating irrelevant information.
Within two weeks of using AIQUA, Rev Edition saw a significant uptick of 175% in its recommendation clickthrough rate.
A Recommendation Model for Each Stage of Shopping
As with any e-commerce website, Rev Edition has many, many pages for its visitors to browse. A recommendation model that works on one page may not work on another. We at Appier know this, which is why AIQUA is designed with putting different recommendation models on different pages in mind.
As shown in the figure above, the home page has the most personalized products, the ones that are “recommended for you.” This entices visitors with products that are most relevant to them; once they land on these product pages, they will be presented with similar products that they may not have thought about buying but could be interested in.
The checkout page is a key webpage because visitors who are there have the intention to purchase in mind. By putting complementary products that go well with what they have in their cart, AIQUA has increased the cart value for Rev Edition.
